Question: What is the AMSOIL Preferred Customer Discount and what is the cost to join?
Answer: Prior to 2000 the only way to purchase AMSOIL products at a discount was to become an AMSOIL dealer. This was the main program for anyone who wanted to get better pricing on products.
The problem was that most people were not interested in building an AMSOIL business and just wanted to get our great synthetic oil products, filters and automotive accessories at the best price.
Around 1999-2000 AMSOIL decided to help customers get the best AMSOIL pricing without the responsibility of being an AMSOIL dealer. The AMSOIL Preferred Customer Program was born.
AMSOIL Preferred Customer Program works a lot like one of the wholesale buying clubs (Sams Club, Costco, BJ’s Wholesale etc) PC’s pay a yearly fee which entitles them to purchase products at a 25-30% discount. This program is designed for someone who is going to buy AMSOIL for multiple vehicles and equipment. Buying a couple of quarts and a filter would not be a cost effective solution for an individual. But if you were buying $100 or more per year, it’s a perfect way to save money.
First time AMSOIL preferred customers can purchase a trial membership that costs $10 for six months. Then it’s $20 per year. Preferred customers can also renew their membership for multiple years and get an even further discount on the yearly fee.
Some benefits of being an AMSOIL preferred customer is:
- Purchase AMSOIL at 25-30% discount
- Free subscription to the AMSOIL monthly magazine (PC addition)
- Ability to upgrade to dealer status (you pay the difference between PC and Dealer)
- Online account, store shipping address, reorder information and use the AMSOIL MyGarage Feature
As an AMSOIL dealer a great benefit to registering your customers as PC’s is that they are now in protected status. Meaning once a person registers, no other dealer is allow to work with them. Having Preferred Customers that buy on a regular basis is a great way to build an AMSOIL business. And the great thing is that some PC’s might just upgrade to become an AMSOIL Dealer!
