Sparks Team AMSOIL Training Call for Monday September 2nd, 2013.
This weeks call we talk about getting over the hump in your business.
Do you feel like you are working hard but not getting any traction in your AMSOIL Business? This call is for you. We discuss several factors in building a
strong and profitable business by getting over one hump at a time.
When we first begin as AMSOIL Dealers, we start at the bottom (just like any job or business) you go to work say at McDonalds and you start at minimum wage as a trainee. As you spend more time learning you move up the ladder which means that McDonalds now values you time more so they pay you more.
In your AMSOIL business, the more products you sell the more percentage you earn in commission. There are several ways to to this. You can get more customers personally, or sponsor dealers in your team that you teach and train to do the same. This duplication adds to your own personal business to help you earn a higher commission.
While new dealers earn between 2-5% based on volume. Veteran dealers that have built business can earn 23-25% on volume. (The beauty of the AMSOIL business is that we have the commercial and retail on the shelf program that can great increase your earnings when just getting started. You can read more about the AMSOIL Commercial and Retail on the Shelf program.
When thinking of getting over the hump you can equate your AMSOIL Business to boiling water. This is a lot of energy going to heat up water to even get it to a boil. Once it’s boiling you can then turn down the heat to maintain the boil. Or think about your automobile. From a dead stop to 55 mile per hour takes a lot of energy (fuel) but once you get to 55 the energy to maintain that speed reduces greatly (as long as you are on flat ground)
If you put a lot of energy into your AMSOIL Business in the beginning and build it up, there will come a time when you don’t have to work as hard just to maintain. Now if you want to grow (get over that next hump) then you will need to add more energy.
Setting goals in your business will help you get over those humps. Account Direct, Direct Dealer and Direct Jobber are major humps, but there can be many little ones along the way. You could set your goal in dollar amounts. Earning $100 per month, $500 per month or $1000 per month is a great way to keep yourself on track. Same being said with customers. Start out by having 10, 20, 50 and 100 customers. If you do this you will see positive results in your business and soon you will be over that hump.
Have a listen to this weeks call. I think you will enjoy it.
