number is 5027237 (this is our number) and you encounter someone interested in receiving an AMSOIL product catalog. The standard URL for getting a product catalog on the AMSOIL website is: www.amsoil.com/free-catalog.aspx To ensure you receive credit for any purchases the prospect makes, you would give them your Dealer-number transferring link, which would be:

Turn any page on the AMSOIL site into a Dealer-number transferring link by copying the URL and adding ?zo=5027237 (insert your own Dealer number in place of 5027237). John I tried the link you put there and it worked for me. I did remove the link that contained your dealer number since this is our site. Thanks for the comment. If you customer signed up for PC but didnt use your dealer number, how can we update that information so he is using my dealer number.

You have 30 days in order to allow a customer to move their servicing dealer on record. I suggest anyone you give your link to or talk to be sure to follow up with them. You will have to help instruct them to contact AMSOIL customers service to let them know they forgot to use your name/dealer number. Have your customer send an email to customerservice(at)amsoil.com Hope this helps.
Secondly, I have learned over the years to do everything within your power to be sure your customers are registered. I normally take care of the process for them at least on the initial registration. That way I know it’s done right the first time and that they are assigned to me. I would suggest you do the same and not rely on them accidentally clicking on some other dealers link first.
That’s the problem with your internet browser “cookies” if they go to amsoil.com with someone elses link first that’s the one that gets assigned, unless they remember to go in and put your name and number down, which it seems they more often than not “forget” or don’t care….
Best advice, do it yourself, and it’s done right the first time!
There are a few different scenarios for transferring links. For instance, if you see a “#” hashtag in the url your customer number “?zo=12345 should go before the “#” hashtag and if the is already a “?” in the url you must use the “&” sign inplace of the “?” like this https://www.amsoil.com/search/?query=V-Twin&zo=12345#q=V-Twin&t=totalProductsTab&sort=relevancy&numberOfResults=20
