On September 8th, the AMSOIL Sparks Team conducted a dealer training in Clarksville, Tennessee. The training was held to help local AMSOIL dealers learn more about AMSOIL Inc ., the products, company and business opportunity. We also discussed leadership, trade shows and how to use the AMSOIL dealers zone.
We had a great meeting that was well attended by dealers from as far as 120 miles away. We believe conducting regular training meetings can help dealers learn more than they could on their own. Going to a dealer meeting can also provide fellowship and encouragement from other successful dealers.

Recap of what went on during the AMSOIL Dealer Training
The first 30 minutes of the meeting everyone introduced themselves and we watched a video from Robert Kiyosaki entitled “The Perfect Business”. This was an excellent video to help AMSOIL dealers understand they type of business we represent, and their ability to achieve financial freedom, if they so desire.

AMSOIL Compensation Plan
First topic of the day, we discussed the AMSOIL compensation plan and how an AMSOIL dealer earns commission with commission credits, registering new customers and the various AMSOIL dealer programs.
We also discussed sponsoring other AMSOIL dealers and how that can help boost your commission percentage. We studied the dealer profit list as well as the AMSOIL compensation literature.
Goal Setting with your Business
Next was goal setting in your business and personal life. Using the SMART system, we discussed the hows and whys of setting goals and accomplishing those goals. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely. These principles have been used for years to help set goals.
Using the AMSOIL Dealers Zone
The AMSOIL Dealers Zone is located at www.amsoil.com and is for dealers only. This vast resource is designed to help dealers learn about and operate their AMSOIL business. The Dealers Zone contains training information, dealer reports and other tools for dealers to use. We went over what to do on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Trade Shows and AMSOIL products
Trade Shows are a great way to get in front of many prospects and potential customers in a short period of time. Doing shows can allow part-time AMSOIL dealers to actively and effectively work their business, while continuing to be employed with their full time jobs. We discussed how to quickly qualify a customer, get them registered and move on. We also talk about the pitfalls and what to look out for when doing shows.
On the product side we discussed how to talk about products at trade shows (don’t get too detailed) as well as which products to have at what shows. We also set up a sample trade show booth and demonstrated the various ways to display products and information.
Leadership
Here are some of the topics we covered on Leadership as it applies to your AMSOIL Business:
- People will do what you do, not what you say
- Be, Know, Do
- Leadership Duplication
- AMSOIL Business Models
- AMSOIL is a product-driven, direct sales program that has withstood the test of time
Networking with Jay Napier

In Summary:
For those that attended the meeting, we appreciate your enthusiasm and commitment to building your AMSOIL business. We look forward to hosting more training events, helping more AMSOIL dealers realize their potential and helping all those who desire financial independence and a better way, if they choose to work with us.
Move Up to AMSOIL!
EXCELLENT meeting!
For those that missed it, this is the sort of thing you want to be involved with! Go to gatherings that have like minded, positive people attending. Those fellow attendees have the will, ability and heart to help you build your business.
The topics we covered were spot-on. Who couldn’t use a little clarification on the payment plan??? Right, I know!
How about hearing first-hand from a Regency Silver Direct Jobber on what he does daily, weekly and monthly in the Dealer Zone. Folks, this is the sort of stuff that separates the contenders from the pretenders!
I could go on and on. If you want to walk the walk and talk the talk you got to get yourself around the movers and shakers. When the next get together goes down, you owe it to yourself to make time to come – no excuses – be a CONTENDER!
If you need help getting started, get in touch with me. I’ll get you primed and pointed in the right direction. Then, you light the fuse and blast off!
“There is a better way and we can get there together.” – Eric Worre
Awesome training event! Whether you were a new dealer or someone that has been a dealer for a while you missed out if you missed this 4-hour event. I’ve only been an AMSOIL Dealer for about a year and a half and I am always looking at ways to learn more and improve my business.
AMSOIL is a great company to be affiliated with. They have some of the best morals and values of any company out there and they treat their dealers first class. Without this awesome dealer network AMSOIL would not be as great as it is today.
Whether your are just looking to make a little extra income or to work for yourself full time, AMSOIL is defiantly the way to go. Where and how else could you start your own business and your road to financial success and freedom for as little as $15.
Thanks to Michael Sparks for putting together and organizing this great training event and thanks to David & Carol Bell for phoning in and sharing some of their wisdom.
The Training Saturday< Sept 8th was quite worthwhile! …of course the Food was Great! All Dealers from Brand New to Seasoned learned Valuable insights on Building their Businesses! Being an \"insider\" on New Business Development Plans were a definite plus! Stay tuned ….Michael is JUST getting fired up ! All you have to do is latch your\"Train\" onto His and follow His lead !Jonathan
It was evident from the start that a good deal of planning went into this training. I’ve been a fan of Robert Kiyosaki, having read several of his books. His brief teaching via video was a good motivator. Getting a clearer picture of the compensation plan was like a breath of fresh air. The future plans are going to bring all serious Amsoil dealers to the next level. It’s also great to gather with other dealers to compare notes and encourage one another. I’m often asked by new dealers “What should I do to grow my business?” My answer is always the same: “Do what Michael Sparks does. Learn from his example.” Michael has set a good example once again for us in this training. Oh, by the way, great barbeque!
